How it will work
A result is only useful if you can understand it.
Finder is in development. Here is the planned journey from a question to a decision, including what the engine should say when the evidence runs out.
The four planned search steps
- 01 / SEARCH
Name the thing.
Start with a product, model, size or photo. The planned engine will look beyond one seller's wording.
- 02 / GATHER
Bring the sources together.
Combine authorized retail and resale sources, with a clear account of what was checked and what was unavailable.
- 03 / COMPARE
See the whole cost.
Compare landed-cost estimates, arrival windows and seller evidence in a common default order.
- 04 / DECIDE
Open the receipts.
Inspect the basis, follow the source link and make the purchase yourself, with the seller.
01 / Search & gather
Start with the item, not a platform.
Describe the product, specify a model or size, or use a photo. The goal is to combine permitted catalog, retailer and resale sources, then check whether candidates really match the object you mean.
A similar-looking jacket is not automatically the right model. A matching product code does not prove authenticity. Source availability, location, freshness and uncertain attributes will remain visible.
Every connected source needs both permission for the specific use and a working integration. No source shown in the preview is a claim of current support.
02 / Rank
Overall value, with the tradeoffs exposed.
The planned Balanced order weighs cost, speed and trust. Affiliate payouts are excluded from its inputs.

Arrival: 4–7 days, an invented example window. Seller trust: 88/100, an illustrative normalized score, not a seller rating.
Speed: 75 × 0.25 = 18.75
Trust: 88 × 0.30 = 26.40
Weighted total: 82.05 / 100
Illustrates the planned Balanced weights: cost 45%, speed 25%, trust 30%. Component scores are invented to explain the arithmetic; normalization is not validated. No affiliate payout enters this example. Missing material costs would be marked unknown, not treated as zero.
The illustration shows the planned weights, not a validated production formula. Estimates need a basis and a time stamp. If a material cost cannot be estimated defensibly, the result should show an incomplete total.
03 / Decide
You stay in charge of the purchase.
Open the reasoning, compare the seller’s terms, then follow the listing to its source. The seller handles the transaction. Prices, stock, delivery and returns must be checked there before buying.
The planned paid Alert is a notification. It does not place orders, make bids, submit offers, add items to a cart or spend money. Matching and notification speed remain to be tested; “instant” delivery is not guaranteed.
The shared-search commitment
Same eligible results. Same default rank.
For the same query, location, source availability and explicit search context, the commitment is a common candidate set and commission-independent default ranking. Paying adds tools.
New-versus-used preferences are planned. The interaction of adjustable weights, source controls and supplier eligibility with the common-result promise is still being resolved before public release. We will publish the final entitlement rules before taking payment.
One search, with the reasoning included.
